What could possibly go wrong in a small (pop. 35,000) sleepy, South African farming community, famed for having been founded 1849 by devout members of the Dutch Reformed Church. Satanic murder, that’s what! In Humansdorp, Eastern Cape, South Africa (a beautiful part of the country I’ve visited), a group of six youth have been charged with satanic ritual murder. The youngest of the six allegedly responsible is a 15-year-old girl named Kristy. Her companions in crime range in age from 18-23. They are accused of the murder and attempted murder of two teenage girls to whom they first gave drugs and alcohol. Then, the victims were “sacrificed” to Satan by beating them with rocks, tying them down, and burning them alive. One survived. Then, Kristy cut her palm with blood which was smeared on a Bible. A point I’ve made to my secular critics is this: If you don’t believe in the devil, at least admit that some people do, and are willing to do heinous things in the name of Satan. Like it or not, you must deal with that reality. To my fellow Christian, I ask this: If you don’t believe in deliverance, why knock those of us who do, and are willing to confront the demons who come to kill, steal, and destroy? You don’t have to look to a country halfway around the world to see such Satanism. Similar crimes are committed on a regular basis in America, with the facts usually kept quiet. (See my recent blog on “The Satanic Panic.”) How many such demonic acts could have been stopped if the preachers in America were to actively engage the Enemy in spiritual warfare? Even one life saved would be worth it.

I whole-heartedly agree. Over 30 years ago, when I didn’t beieve in anything “supernatural” I saw demons laughing at me at a time when I simply had lost my temper. I understood one thing from that experience: if I loose control, demons are right there waiting to take over. It was enough to set me on the path to finding out the truth – “Satan comes to kill, steal, and destroy.” Numerous times over the years I’ve seen various manifestations of demonic spirits. The most important revelation I’ve received from your ministry is that Christians CAN have demons living inside them. It answers so many questions for those of us who know people (particularly our young people) who seem to be in such bondage to wrong choices and behaviors — it’s because the ARE in bondage – to demons, who twist the victims mind, will, and emotions to the point where the person is totally unreasonable, irrational, and illogical, and going blindly down the paths of self-destruction (not “in their right mind.”) The victim becomes ornery and abusive toward those who love him, and the demons of isolation and sabotage work to destroy all relationships – especially Godly relationships in order to have exclusive influence over the victim. At least knowing that it’s demons allows one to divorce their feelings when attacked by a victim and see past the person to whats really controlling them. Suddenly, it all makes sense. And, when we truly understand that we HAVE AUTHORITY over all demons (in Jesus name – Luke 10:19) we can go on the offensive and rescue our loved ones and other victims and have the pleasure of enforcing Jesus’ victory at the whipping post and on the cross! Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil! (I John 3:8) Demons are swarming all over the worlds people and the church these days. We all need to get our heads out of the sand and become the “enforcers” Jesus called us to be. As you always say: Do what Jesus did!”
