 Dear Friend of DWJD® & Spiritual Freedom Churches (SFC),
 
     First, let me apologize for getting this information to you so late, but the delay was unavoidable. Because you may have made plans to attend, I hasten to let you know the reason for postponing this year's Institute and Convention. As you know, our new reality TV series "The Real Exorcist" premieres on Thursday, October 30, 7:00-11:00 p.m. EDT on the Sci-Fi channel. We have known about this for some time, but recently learned of the extensive promotional plans by NBC-TV/Universal Studios, which owns the Sci-Fi channel.
 
     Last week I spoke with the person at NBC in charge at of promotions and marketing of our new reality show. I learned what I had expected for some time. NBC is planning a massive advertising effort to get out the word about this unprecedented television 4-hour marathon, the day before Halloween. NBC and Sci-Fi have asked me to clear my calendar as much as possible to be available for interviews with the media.

     Our annual DWJD®/SFC International Convention is one of the most blessed and exciting times of the year for our ministry. It is also lots of hard work with detailed planning and execution to make the Institute and Convention a success. Unfortunately, it's obvious that I and my staff will simply not have the necessary time to devote to this year's Institute and Convention. Not being able to fellowship with our many ministry friends from around the world will be disappointing, because all of you are so special to us. However, I'm sure that you'll understand that we must not allow anything to distract from the spiritual success of launching this new television series.

     A recent article in the New York Times newspaper declared that Sci-Fi is now the 6th most watched cable channel in America! For Sci-Fi to turn over an entire evening of prime time to air four hours of our new series is a remarkable event. We must seize every opportunity to make this a great spiritual success. We have declared a Harvest at Halloween to coincide with the release of the new series and will be mobilizing all our friends to help us in three ways: 1) Sponsor a television party at your home that night and invite friends to watch; 2) Let us know if you'll be willing to be a correspondent to help answer the thousands of emails and phone calls we'll be receiving; 3) Be a Prayer Partner for this ministry.

     If you can help in one of these ways, please call or email our offices immediately and let us know how you can participate in this unprecedented spiritual harvest. In the meantime, thank you for understanding the spiritual reasons behind this decision. Watch our web site for more details on rescheduling the Institute and Convention at a later time. The next time we all meet, we'll have even greater reasons for coming together to celebrate.
