It is refreshing to see what God is doing outside of American culture. I especially enjoy Eastern Europe and Russia. People there are transparent in their worship and do so with passion that’s not contrived, as it sometimes is in America. Every Christian needs to get “out of the box” and see what God is doing around the world. “I have other sheep that are not of this sheep pen,” Jesus said in John 10:16. At that moment, he was speaking of the Gentiles who would also be saved. But this passage goes beyond that strict context to mean that the Body of Christ is beyond the narrow provincial construct that most Christians have of their faith.
