SCENES FROM DAY 1 AT NEW GENERATION BIBLE COLLEGE

Dateline New Generation Bible College, Day 1
More than five hundred students gather for first day of training in spiritual warfare. Finale to the school year. New Generation movement asks us for second year to train future pastors and Christian leaders. Sessions today include: Basic Spiritual Warfare (me); A Pastor’s Perspective on Deliverance (Mike Dennigan, pastor from Kentucky who moves in deliverance ministry); The Long Process of Deliverance (Edra Hayes DWJD national leader); Healing the Wounded Soul (Savannah Scherkenback (only Teenage Exorcist able to join me this time-OK she’s no longer a teenager but labels stick). After full day of teaching, I address special group of present pastors who want to know how to start an exorcism and deliverance ministry in their churches. Nowhere else in the world would I be able to do this. Certainly not in America. People here haven’t been spoiled by seeker-friendly, U. S. A. style comfortable Christianity. They are on fire for God and want to know how to deal with the devil. So refreshing. Still, not far from their thoughts is the political situation. Many wonder what the future holds. Half of pastors I taught in special session were from Russia. Here Russian and Ukrainians worship Jesus side by side. If only our politicians could see this. Jesus is the answer to world problems. New Generation churches (500 and counting) have 126 rehabilitation centers for addicts–49% completely recover; work in 108 prisons; 17 centers for homeless; 52 cities with centers where hungry are fed; ministry to sick and elderly in 102 cities; 94,509 counseling appointments annually – THESE PEOPLE ARE DOING A GREAT JOB. I am so honored to be part of what they are doing and to be the point man to train their churches in spiritual warfare.

An encouraging word:  THE GREAT OMISSION

And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons (Mark 16:17 NIV). These words are inclusive of the Great Commission of Luke 16:15-18. Jesus said this immediately after his command to go into all the world with the Gospel. Why is this so hard for churches in America to understand? Most of the rest of the Church world doesn’t ignore this edict. Spiritual warfare is normal beyond the shores of the U. S. A. From my perspective the devil has done a number on Christians in North America. We’re good at sending missionaries to other lands to deal with the demons there, but ignore the war for souls being waged under our own noses. This must change. I’m doing all I can to change it. So should you!
