Game on. After two years of talking about it, the Democrats are now full-bore to impeach President Trump. Thinking they’ve found the smoking gun in a call Trump placed to the President of Ukraine, Nancy Pelosi and her not-so-merry band of socialist malcontents are determined to bring down the current administration. The pro-abortion, anti-gun, antifa crowd tastes blood, and they want Trump’s head on a charger. Millions of dollars and countless thousands of hours will be spent on one goal: destroying Donald Trump.
Meanwhile, an unprecedented immigration crisis threatens our borders. Nearly 80 Americans die each day from overdoses caused by the opioid epidemic. Every month, 440,000 people fry their brains on methamphetamines. As of this date, nearly 400 people have been murdered so far this year in Chicago, with three months to go. Every day more than 2,500 babies are killed by abortion. You’d think that with crises like these, the energy, time, and money spent on impeachment (all of it taxpayer funded) could be better spent on saving thousands of lives instead of trying to destroy one single person, who was duly elected by the voters of America.
I have a better idea. Whatever Trump’s failings, we have an election coming in little more than year. Why not let the voters decide via the electoral process? Then, take all that time and money saved and invest it in drug rehabilitation, mental health education, sexual abuse awareness, and better law enforcement. During a recent weekend of encounters, more than half of the dozen people I personally ministered to were meth addicts. A third suffered from mental illness as the result of drugs and sexual abuse. It’s time to impeach the devil by taking away the tools he uses to destroy millions of lives every year with evils far worse than a call to Ukraine. Instead of indulging a vendetta against The Donald, why not declare war on the devil? And the best way to impeach the devil is to cast him to the Pit in the name of Jesus!

An encouraging word: THANKS FOR GODLY ANCESTORS
We often emphasis the importance of breaking curses resulting from the actions of our ancestors; but just as evil passes through the bloodline, so do blessings. David acknowledged this in Psalm 61:5 when he expressed thanks to God: You have given me the heritage of those who fear your name. Many of us would not be serving God today were it not for the heritage of praying parents, grandparents, and those who’ve gone before. Thank the Lord today, as David did, for godly ancestors who paved the way for the blessings of salvation in your life.
