Ukraine Report #4

What happens during an exorcism can sometimes appear to be fantastical. But the relenting of a demon and the freedom of a tormented soul is proof enough that truth can truly be stranger than fiction. During the Ukraine School of Exorcism many deliverances took place. One stood out, the exorcism of Marina. A lovely lady in her early 40s, Marina had been through four marriages, had two children, and was tormented day and night. In the midst of the exorcism I sensed that someone other than Marina was looking at me. Her face took on the demeanor of a child. It was a child, or at least a dissociated memory of a child, just five-years-of-age, named Rebecca. (This is a phenomenon I have coined Ancestral Generational Dissociation. I ministered healing to the memory of that child and then confronted the spirit of Jezebel. But this time, Jezebel was hiding an even more powerful demon named Mammon. (The same spirit I wrote about in my blog last Friday. (To read CLICK HERE.) Many generations ago, Marina’s ancestors wanted wealth and power. A mother in Marina’s bloodline had sacrificed her own child to appease this hideous demon. The mystery of Marina’s possession unraveled and the demon Mammon, along with all those in his kingdom, was cast out.

Energodar, Ukraine. I had never been there before, but as we drove into town I was informed of its fame. It’s the site of the largest nuclear power plant in Europe, third largest in the world. Huge cooling towers loom on the horizon, plus a massive facility used to train personnel of nuclear power stations from all over the world. I didn’t realize at that time that I was going to need all of God’s power that would be available for a violent spiritual battle that night. After my message, as I walked through the audience of more than 500 people (standing room only and all they could get in the building), my eyes became fixed on a young man named Anton. Even among so many people, his stare had the intense hatred that only comes from a demon.

I brought him on stage and he immediately erupted with almost uncontrollable violence. I called for seven of the largest men in the room to hold him. When his demons were down, Anton was unassuming; but approaching him with my cross or Bible resulted in violent tumult. I learned that he was going through drug rehab, but had never surrendered his life to Christ. After he prayed a sinner’s prayer, the battle began. There were tense moments when I wondered if we needed more muscle to prevent me and others from being injured. At other times he stood on stage emotionless.

Finally we uncovered a multi-generational curse rooted in infant, blood sacrifice. (This was something we seemed to encounter more frequently than usual on this mission.) The curse was renounced, and Anton was set free in one final, fight that exhausted me and the seven men assisting. (At one point, as I spiritually struck the demon with God’s judgment, the entire auditorium went unexplainably dark; all power went off instantly for a space of about 10 seconds, causing everyone to wonder if this unusual timing was more spiritual than electrical.) No matter, once again, Christ was eventually victorious. That night, Energodar, had a power surge it had never seen before.
